The daily shirt is my personal favorite shirt. My uniform for life is a button down shirt and a pair of cut off levi’s. I live in warm weather so… This button down has now replaced all of the others in my line up. I drafted it to be easy to make and pretty on the body. It is meant to be a relaxed fit and I built in extra room for the step where we alter our shirt together to fit just us. (I work as a freelance tailor on photo shoots and I travel the world altering samples that models will wear to advertise global brands. Alterations are my special sauce) I drafted the shoulders to be a true fit. I love an effortless shirt that sits right on the high shoulder.  I think you will too!

Heads up: from cut to hem I think this shirt needs about 5 hours for the first make. If you are a beginning sewist, please be sure to be patient with yourself and allow your first one to be endearingly imperfect. And give yourself room to make ‘learning opportunities.’ I promise, you will want 10 of these and they get easier every time you make one!

This is a pdf pattern designed to print in black and white on your home computer. Be sure to print to ‘actual size’ and check your scale box before you print the entire pattern. I have built the instructions like a photo tutorial so it will be an easy make. I feel that a confidant beginning sewist can make this and an expert tailor will appreciate the fit.

This pattern is graded for size xs - 3x.

Sizes:

xs: 34/26/34 - s: 36/28/38 - m: 38.5/30.5/40.5 - l: 42/34/44 - xl: 46/39/50 - 2x: 50/43/54
